The following people are HealthReach Rehab's primary providers at the Kenosha Early Intervention Program.
Jeanette Menzia, MS, CCC-SLP
In May of 1985, graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an Associate degree in childcare and development. She spent the next 16 years working at a daycare before returning to school for her degree as speech therapist. Jeanette graduated from UW-Milwaukee in May of 2000 with a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and disorders and has been working at HealthReach Rehab services since March of 2011. She enjoys working with children, especially with language delays and speech sound production errors.
Laurel Makovsky, MS, CCC-SLP
Laurel Makovsky is a graduate of UW-Whitewater and has more than 14 years of experience with pediatric patients in home and clinic settings. She specializes in in working with children ages birth to three and has experience in the areas of receptive and expressive speech-language delays and disorders, oral-motor/feeding difficulties, fluency, apraxia, autism and Down syndrome. Laurel is interested in and has received advanced training in the areas of oral-motor feeding skills, ribcage handling, sensory processing disorders, speech and language development as related to literacy development, and autism spectrum disorders.
Kristen Hutchinson, MS, CCC-SLP
Kristen Hutchinson, MS, CCC-SLP, earned her master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Rockhurst University. Her focus in graduate school was The Effects of Metacognitive Strategies on Reading Comprehension. Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Illinois State University. She began work as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an elementary school setting and recently joined the Health Reach team in 2015 working with children in the early intervention birth to three program.
